Crab & Burger Restaurant Custom Nesting Doll
The crab restaurant is an eatery located in Saint-Petersburg Russia. As a thank you to their most loyal customers, they wanted to create an exceptional gift—a matryoshka doll branded with a QR-code leading to their website.
After our conversations with their management, they settled for single nesting dolls with a height of 10 cm (4 inches). First of all, we asked our turners to carve 100 blank dolls for this project.
Sometimes our customers make the custom nesting doll design themselves, and such was the case with Crab & Burger.
Our artist painted a sample nesting doll according to the restaurant's design. Later on, we made a hundred custom nesting dolls depicting a lady in sunglasses and red scarves. It took two weeks to completely paint one hundred dolls and one more week to apply varnish.
