Are you having trouble opening your nesting doll? Do you feel that opening a nesting doll is too difficult? Nesting dolls are great home decor items and also ideal Montessori toys for your kids, so it should be easy to open for everyone.
Unfortunately, we all experience difficulties when unboxing a nesting doll, especially handmade nesting dolls. Not to worry, we've written a step-by-step guide for you. Here's how to open a nesting doll.
How to open Matryoshka dolls
In this article, we use our 30-piece blank nesting doll because it contains a variety of sizes. Follow the steps below to open your nesting doll.
-
Prepare a soft and clean surface on the floor.
Sofa beds, mattresses or rugs are ideal surfaces for unpacking your nesting doll. This is to keep your doll from falling and breaking while you're opening it.
-
Place one hand on top of the nesting doll and the other hand at the doll's base.
Bring the matryoshka doll up to your chest in a parallel position. -
Pull both ends of the doll apart from your chest to 'break' the matryoshka in half.
Don't worry, It will not break. By doing this the nesting doll will come apart at the middle as shown in the photo above. -
Pull the top and the lower sections of the Nesting doll apart carefully.
We had to add 'carefully' because there are other nesting dolls inside and you must not drop them by accident.
-
Repeat this process till you get to the smallest matryoshka.
Unfortunately, you cannot take the smallest doll apart. Our blank nesting dolls are also recommended for children from one and a half years.
As always, adult supervision is advised to avoid choking hazards. The smallest doll in this set is just 7mm (0.28 inches) tall and 3mm (0.12 inches) wide.
Conclusion
Trying to unscrew the dolls open will simply not work. Getting two people to pull both ends apart will be more difficult. Opening a Russian doll is not always easy on the first try.
However, with enough practice, you'll be able to open even a fifty-piece nesting doll:)
Go ahead, have fun. We believe you can do it!
