Our traditional nesting dolls are handmade using centuries-old techniques by skilled masters of Russian folk art. These traditional Russian matryoshka dolls depict the Russian city of Saint-Petersburg and its landmarks including the Church of the Savior on spilled blood.

About the design:
The Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood is a former Russian Orthodox church located in Saint Petersburg, Russia. It is now a secular museum. The building was built between 1883 and 1907. It is a prominent tourist destination in Saint Petersburg.
The church was built on the site of Emperor Alexander II's assassination in March 1881 by political nihilists. The Romanov imperial dynasty funded the church in honor of Alexander II, and the term "on Spilled Blood" refers to his assassination.
