Our traditional nesting dolls are handmade using centuries-old techniques by skilled masters of Russian folk art. These Russian matryoshka dolls depict the Russian fairytale of Morozko. Morozko (Father Frost) is a Russian fairy tale collected by Alexander Afanasyev in Narodnye russkie skazki (1855-63).
